Talking Michael Jackson, Food & Music on Mateo's Magic Bus with Chef-DJ Mani on KFFR 88.3FM

Broadcast high in the Rockies each week from 2PM - 4PM MT on KFFR 88.3-FM and KFFR.org, Mateo’s Magic Bus takes listeners on a journey around the world, exploring the roots of jazz and blues alongside music from today and the past decades that has been influenced by these incredible art forms.

On this week's ride, DJ Mateo is joined by co-pilot DJ-Chef Mani, on his second drive as co-pilot on The Bus. DJ Mani has hand selected and narrates a choice show starting with Michael McDonald/the Doobies, Pink Floyd and then The Jacksons and Michael Jackson and so much more!!

Who doesn’t love talking about food and music? Mani was Michael Jackson’s first private chef from 1982-85, during which time Mani would occasionally do the moonwalk, badly, just to make the singer laugh. Then, "Mani's Bakery" in Los Angeles was dubbed the bakery to the stars, where he went on to open and lead Sweet Bar Bakery in Oakland in the 2000s.

He has compiled all this incredible history and stories and is getting set to publish a new book, Midnight Snacks: Nachos, Michael Jackson, and My Cult Escape.

Just click on the SoundCloud link below to listen in to our amazing ride through Mani's incredible life of music, food and everything in between.

We've removed the underwriting and in-betweens so there's about an hour of solid, amazing music and stories! Buckle up for a great ride!

Rock on,

DJ Mateo (and DJ Mani!)
